The Institute of Learning is Venn Academy Trust’s purpose-built professional learning and training venue, providing a high-quality environment where people can learn, collaborate and develop together.
Based at Willerby Hill Business Park in Hull, the Institute provides a flexible space for professional development, leadership training, conferences, strategic working and partnership events across education and the wider public sector.
Created as an alternative to a traditional commercial venue, the Institute has been designed around the needs of education professionals — providing a calm, well-equipped environment where the focus can remain firmly on learning, discussion and collaboration.
Supporting Professional Learning
The Institute of Learning provides a dedicated environment for professional development across Venn and beyond. From leadership development and trust-wide training to workshops, briefings and collaborative projects, the space enables colleagues to come together to share expertise, develop practice and explore new ideas.
It also provides a setting for Venn’s own professional development initiatives, including the Artisan Teacher Programme and Aspirant Leader Programme, helping connect learning, leadership and collaboration across the wider Venn community.

The flexible space can accommodate up to 120 delegates and can be configured to suit different types of professional learning, training and events.
From smaller workshops and leadership sessions to larger conferences and trust-wide development days, the space can be adapted around the needs of each event. Presentation facilities, guest Wi-Fi, refreshments and on-site support are available, with the venue prepared in advance to help organisers and delegates make the most of their time together.
