Why the name Euler Academy?

We chose the name Euler because he was a mathematician who invented a Venn diagram.

A Venn diagram was selected as our logo and name because our pupils come from wide and varied backgrounds.

Leonhard Euler

The name originates from the Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler born in 1707.

He was a mathematician, physicist, astronomer, geographer, logician and engineer who made important and influential discoveries in many branches of mathematics.

He also introduced much of the modern mathematical terminology and notation, particularly for mathematical analysis, such as the notion of a mathematical function.

He is also known for his work in mechanics, fluid dynamics, optics, astronomy and music theory.
