About Venn Academy Trust

Venn Academy Trust was launched in Hull in 2015, as a result of a strong collaborative partnership between two headteachers representing four settings. Venn has formed this unique partnership between Thorpepark (2-11 year olds), Bridgeview (5-11 year olds), Whitehouse (5-11 year olds), and Sullivan (7-16 year olds). In September 2016 The Boulevard Centre (formerly the School Girrl Mums Unit, 14-18 year olds) joined the Trust.

Additionally, we deliver high quality extended services including home tuition, a behaviour outreach service and the hospital classroom at Hull Infirmary.

Venn is the realisation of the headteachers’ unique vision to bring together the very best of mainstream and specialist teaching practices for the benefit of all of our pupils and staff.

The Trust has an inspirational model of leadership and partnership through a shared aspirational vision and safe inclusive ethos. We will ensure all pupils make exceptional progress as a result of outstanding teaching, irrespective of their starting point.

The headteachers – through their school settings – are active participants in the Tidal Teaching School Alliance. The unparalleled success we have achieved in behaviour management has not only revolutionised our teaching and the culture of our schools – it has also enabled us to develop an exceptional ‘CPD in Education’ programme, providing support, guidance and training to other schools and educational institutions to help them successfully manage disruptive behaviour.
